It's a bit of walk to get there, but we got there a lot quicker than the sign at the parking lot estimated. In the end it took us a little over 45 minutes. It's a straightforward and not very exciting path going from the parking lot to the plane wreck. Alternatively you can get the shuttle with massive wheels. We walked both there and back.
If you have a 4WD you're probably able to drive all the way up there. However we didn't have one, nor did we see anyone else do it.
